Chinese Tea Ceremony
The Chinese tea ceremony is not as formal as it sounds. For the Chinese, the tea ceremony challenges how well one can brew tea. Ceremonies vary from utterly simple to quite complex. We will show you the traditional tea ware used, demonstrate formal Gaiwan service, Gongfu tea (tea prepared using special clay ware from Yixing - pronounced " yee-shing"), and Tea Farmer service. Each of these ceremonies has cultural significance. Let us share 5,000 years of Chinese culture through one of its favorite beverages . . . tea! $30 per person
